n. the sense that you have more to say than will fit in the allotted time, and in the silent spaces after your speech, you wish you could write a book about the parts that didn't fit, and then you would have written a book about the things you didn't say—about the family history you never learned, about the childhood trauma that shaped you, about the friend who never became a friend, about the girl you never kissed, about the future possibilities you never realized, about the moment you fell in love with the world.
