n. the feeling of being swept away by a magical current beyond your control, perhaps a river in a foreign city flowing through a canyon of skyscrapers, or a river in the forest, flowing over rocks and fallen branches and the scattered bones of small animals, a river with a mind of its own, a benevolent, coiling serpent that surrounds you in its coils as you bob along, happily helpless, churning in the current, no longer sure which way is up or down, or what brought you here but assured that everything will work out fine.
